Paul Burns graduated from Glasgow University and co-founded Hamilton Burns & Company in 1972.  He has been a partner in the firm since then.  Paul retired as Senior partner in the summer of 2009 and continues to be associated with the firm as a consultant. Paul Burns is a Solicitor Advocate and conducts trials in all courts including the High Court of Justiciary.  He qualified as a Solicitor Advocate in 1993.  Paul Burns has served as a Council Member of the Law Society of Scotland and was Chairman of the Legal Defence Union and of the Society of Solicitor Advocates.  He is an authorised Insolvency Practitioner.
